On Sunday 14-11-10 we had to leave the residency at 10am.
That’s why we met up with Anne Laforet in Le Départ, the café next to the station of Enghien-Les-Bains. Anne Laforet is a journalist and researcher who saw Kaleidoscope during VJ12 at Maison de la Bellone in Brussels. She wrote an article about VJ12 for Poptronics.

Conclusions

After exploring each other universes, we all expressed our opinions on the encounter with the question in mind about the possibilities, necessity & wishes for future encounters. A concrete proposal for an encounter was offered by Aniara: LabsurLab Medellín April 2011: a module/workshop on motion tracking & interactivity with a presentation at the end.
Were present & talkative: Aniara, Txalo, Guillermo, Gina, Luca, Oskar, Simon, Dorothé, An

Watch the video of Fotograma

Dorothé Depeauw & An Mertens had assisted the work-in-progress showed in Enghien-Les-Bains on 2-11-10, but watching is one thing, being able to discover the sensations of the dancer is a privilege! Read the rest of this post

___Histoire

What did we make?

The first day in Enghien-Les-Bains we sat around the table and presented our works to each other:
Kaleidoscope
Fotograma
As both teams have different approaches and priorities, the discussion was quite animated from time to time.

After the talking we each returned to our personal environments:

Niet zomaar een residentie

We find the Centre des Arts a very comfortable place to work!

Enghien-Les-Bains is situated at 15 min by train from Paris-Nord. It is a suburb town that feels like a balnear village with large villas, a lake, a casino and thermal baths.
