The prototype of the digital narrative CIAO/CU was made with Shiftspace, a software that creates ‘new public spaces’ on the web through layers that are created upon webpages. CIAO/CU won the second place in the Commission for development grants Shiftspace organised together with turbulence.org.
CIAO/CU takes 10 min. to read.
Here is a demo of the story.
You can follow the trail, surf to the starting page and follow the instructions. Or you can watch the clip to help you install Shiftspace.

The prototype will be the start for a collaborative writing experiment together with designer Michael Van Schaik. The idea is to develop and test a tool for open, collective, non-linear reading and writing practise with some possible export functions.

The publication of the novel in print will be announced on this website.
